Wellness classes & workshops

Join a free Zoom class or workshop from MIT Health, with topics like nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, and more. These expert-led sessions are designed to support your health goals from the comfort of your home or office. Offerings change monthly so check back often.

Lifestyle health consultations

Schedule a free lifestyle health consultation at MIT Health. Schedule a 40-minute consultation with a wellness coach to reflect on your current habits, set realistic goals, and explore practical resources to help you take meaningful next steps toward better health.

Wellness class videos

  • Anytime Unwind: On-demand versions of live Unwind classes from MIT Health. They include simple stretches to release tension in the body and guided meditation to release tension in the mind. 

  • Gatha Meditation: This form of meditation is often included in mindfulness courses from MIT Health. It helps to train relaxation and focus by matching your inhale and exhale to a brief phrase. 

  • Yoga Nidra Meditation is sometimes called “an alternative to a power nap.” It is typically done while lying down quietly and resting the body while guiding the mind into relaxation. 

  • Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a process of progressively tensing and releasing different muscle groups, intended to create moderate sensation without pain. It can reduce both psychological and physiological stress or help you become more aware of areas of tension and relaxation in your body. 

  • MIT Sleep Reboot: This on-demand recording of our popular health coaching workshop covers all the hot topics in sleep health and will provide you with the tools and techniques you need to improve your sleep quality and make it easier to get up in the morning.

Public health programs

Even if you are perfectly healthy, accidents and unexpected events can happen, so it’s important to be prepared. MIT Health wants to help you ensure that you have discussed your healthcare wishes with your family and loved ones and that you have taken the important step of appointing someone to speak for you if you are ever unable to speak for yourself. In Massachusetts, you can do this by filling out a Healthcare Proxy form. Student Volunteer Program 

MIT Health’s MIT Health’s Student Volunteer Program gives MIT pre-med students the opportunity to learn from our healthcare professionals, shadow MIT Health clinicians, make a positive impact on the MIT community, and fulfill part of the volunteer-hours requirement for medical school applications.
