MIT Health’s Radiology Service provides digital X-rays and ultrasound exams.
Through X-ray, your clinician can diagnose broken bones, assess lung conditions such as pneumonia, and monitor your response to a specific treatment. We perform most standard radiography (plain X-rays).
Ultrasounds are available to help aid in diagnosing issues with organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, and thyroid, as well as for identifying cysts, hernias, or gallstones.
For more complicated radiological procedures, such as MRIs, CT scans, X-rays that involve dyes, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic procedures, we refer patients to outside centers.
