New England Integrated Health at MIT Health provides on-site care for all MIT community members and their families. Where ancient knowledge meets modern healing, our expert practitioners are committed to providing natural, safe, and evidence-driven complementary medicine.

Overview

The New England Integrated Health (NEIH) acupuncture team is focused on providing personalized, holistic treatments to help each patient achieve their health goals. As one of the oldest continuously practiced medical modalities, acupuncture is a safe, effective, and chemical-free way to promote the body's remarkable self-healing abilities. Whether you are managing a chronic condition, recovering from an injury, or dealing with the mental and physical stresses of daily life, we work alongside your broader MIT Health care team to address your health concerns.

Services and Specialties

We treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Modern research shows that acupuncture has a profound impact on how your body manages pain, maintains systemic balance and homeostasis, and supports your overall feeling of wellness.

  • Dry needling (also known as Orthopedic Needling): A highly effective technique specifically focused on releasing muscular trigger points, relieving deep tissue tension, and treating sports injuries.
  • Musculoskeletal and chronic pain (including low back, neck, and joint pain)
  • Tension and migraine-type headaches
  • Sports injuries and athletic performance enhancement
  • Mental and emotional management (including stress, anxiety, and depression)
  • Women's health (including menstrual conditions, cramps, and fertility support)
  • Gastrointestinal and digestive issues
  • Allergic rhinitis and sinus pain
  • TMJ dysfunction

Depending on your customized care plan, your practitioner may also incorporate complementary therapies such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or electroacupuncture to optimize your results.

Insurance and Billing

We are committed to making care accessible and accept all covered benefits for any MIT community member. Copayments and your eligible number of visits per year will vary depending on your specific insurance policy. If you have questions about your coverage, our team is happy to help verify your specific benefits. You can reach us at 617-297-8549 and info@newenglandintegratedhealth.com.
